Reminder – Grade 8 Parent Evening at St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s, Grade 8 Parent Night is Thursday November 30th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm (tomorrow)

This is a great night for the kids and parents to see the school and discover all the amazing things going on.  The Link Crew makes it exciting and welcoming for the Grade Eights. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a preview of high school.

Morning Drop-Off

It is wonderful to see families walking to school in the snowy weather. We ask though, that parents say good bye to their children when they reach school property and do not come onto school property to wait with them. We have a lot of supervisors outside in the mornings so you need not worry about dropping your children off. They are in safe hands when you leave them.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

Ontario has designated the third week of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment. We are focusing on kindness, empathy, and community, and encouraging the fostering of a positive school climate. There is a daily focus for each day inspired by our WCDSB Pastoral theme of STRENGTHEN.

Please see our plan for the week: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1d6p6Zy0M_dlXZEzung0NZvL79EeXyxL1/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116920619031876122377&rtpof=true&sd=true

Reminder to Confirmation & First Reconciliation/First Communion Families

Good morning to all of you who are preparing your children for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion or Confirmation!

This a short reminder that you are invited to any of our weekend Masses this weekend or next for Enrollment.

Our Mass schedule is:

Saturday @ 5PM

Sunday @ 8AM  &  10AM  & 12PM.

Please make sure that your child holds onto their enrollment card until they are called up during Mass with everyone else preparing for sacraments.

If you forget the card at home, or you missed our meeting where they were handed out, I will have extras available for you.

If you are unable to attend, please be sure to have your child bring your card to either Father Vivek or myself the next time you are at Mass.

Finally, here are the links to the First Reconciliation Meeting     (<— for Gr 2+)    &     Confirmation Meeting  (<—for Gr 7+) for anyone who has recently registered (Please watch).

We look forward to welcoming you!
