Dear Crusader families

We have had a wonderful start to the year. Students have settled happily into their new classrooms, and I have had the opportunity to go around to meet everyone. We have had a few glitches with buses, and the special transportation unfortunately will not be running until next week.

This is a gentle reminder about a few issues regarding arrival and dismissal. We respectfully ask the following from parents, to help us to keep everyone safe:

  • To avoid congestion on the yard, please drop students off at the edge of the school property and do not accompany them onto the yard. We have staff outside supervising students in the mornings and afternoons, and they will keep them safe.
  • Please do not drive onto school property. Students are walking to and from the school building and we wish to avoid accidents. There is only adequate room for staff parking.
  • Dogs are not permitted on school property. Some students may have allergies or be afraid of dogs.  It is also unfair on the dogs when children may wish to pet them.
  • Please do not have your children playing on the play equipment before school. This impedes staff supervision and children may also be reluctant to stop playing and go into school. During the school day we use the play area, so please refrain from using it with younger siblings until after school or on weekends.

Thank you for working with us as partners to help keep everyone safe.

Sincerely,

Jo Goossens
