There are some exciting events next week at Canadian Martyrs and in the upcoming weeks and we just wanted to give you some reminders!
Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10:35am is our Opening School Liturgy for students. We have made it through the first week and we are still really excited to be back for another year! This liturgy will be a celebration of our upcoming year together.
Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 1:00pm is our Terry Fox Kick-off Assembly! This year marks the 10th year that Canadian Martyrs has taken part in this event, and as a community we have raised just over $50,000! What a celebration! This year, we are setting a goal of having our best year ever! We will be joined by some special guests to get this year’s event off to a great start! Stay tuned to our Twitter feed to get instant updates on this day!
Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 6:30pm first Catholic School Council meeting of the new school year. Please join us in the Library if you would like to be a part of this years Catholic School Council.
Wednesday, September 13, 2017 is our annual “Meet the Teacher Night”. Join us between 4:30 and 5:30pm for some delicious burgers and hot dogs provided by “Remember Me Catering”. Have a meal with friends and family out back! Then, at 5:30pm, come on in the school to see your children’s classroom and meet the Teacher! This is a little different structure this year with eating first, and then coming in. We are trying to limit the number of spills in the school and save our excellent custodial staff some time! Our doors will be open to meet the teacher from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Friday, September 22, 2017 is a PD Day. There is no school for students on this day.
Tuesday, September 26, 2017 is the Feast of the Canadian Martyrs! We celebrate our namesake on this day! Stop by the school for a special display from the Church that will be set up in the foyer!
Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2:30pm is our first Character Assembly of the year. We will talk to the students about our new theme for this year: “Our 3 R’s: Resiliency, Respect and Responsibility” and how all of these can have a huge impact on our learning!
It is a busy first few weeks at Canadian Martyrs! Good Luck Crusaders!
