Important – Schools Closed December 23

major winter storm is expected to reach Waterloo Region overnight tonight and is expected to cause dangerous driving conditions on Friday and over the weekend.

Based on this forecast – and with the safety of all in mind – the WCDSB in collaboration with the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region, has made the proactive decision to cancel ALL student transportation and close all schools tomorrow, Friday, December 23, 2022.

All before and after school programs and child care centres co-located in schools will also be closed.

And all programs and services offered by St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres are cancelled and St. Louis sites will be closed.

We pray that everyone is able to remain safe during the storm, and we wish one and all a happy and blessed Christmas break.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Christmas Concert Cancelled

Please note that today’s scheduled Christmas concert has been CANCELLED.

The buses are not running so we will be missing a lot of our students, and we also do not want parents and grandparents risking treacherous conditions to watch the concert.

The performances will be filmed and put online on the teachers’ Google Classrooms.

We share our disappointment, but this decision has been made out of concern for everyone’s safety.

Wizard of Oz – Theatre Trip Grades 1 – 8

Dear Crusaders:

The Grade 1-8 classes are getting very excited to attend The Wizard of Oz panto on Wednesday, December 7. Please ensure that you have paid for your child on school cash online by now.  Volunteers who have been chosen can pay the classroom teacher in cash or cheque. It is important for your child to be at school on time that day as we will be leaving immediately following the announcements.  Students are asked to have a big and nutritious breakfast that morning since we will only have some quick, simple, finger snacks during the 20-minute intermission and have the remainder of their lunch upon our return to school at 1:30pm.  Also, if students need a water bottle it MUST fit into their lunch bag as that will be the only item allowed to be brought on the trip that day. We are so looking forward to this exciting adventure!
